1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Leobot Electronics website (https://www.leobot.net) and any purchase of products from us. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms.

We operate in South Africa and aim to comply with applicable law including the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act (ECTA). These Terms do not limit your statutory rights.

2. Definitions

“Leobot”, “we”, “us”, “our” means LEOBOT TRADING CC.

“You”, “your” means the user/customer purchasing or browsing on our site.

“Products” means items listed for sale on our site.

“Business hours” means 09:00–17:00 SAST, Monday–Friday (excluding public holidays).

3. Eligibility & Account

• You must be legally capable of entering into a binding contract.
• Account credentials must be kept confidential. You are responsible for activity on your account.
• We may suspend or close accounts for misuse, fraud, abuse or breach of these Terms.

4. Orders, Pricing & Availability

• Listings are invitations to do business, not binding offers. We confirm acceptance by a dispatch notice or upon collection readiness.
• We strive to keep stock and pricing accurate. We may cancel all or part of an order (with a full refund) if a listing error or stock discrepancy occurs.
• Prices are shown in ZAR and include VAT unless stated otherwise.
• Custom/special orders may require upfront payment and are non-cancellable once procurement has started.

5. Payment

• We accept secure card payments through our payment gateway (e.g., PayFast) and EFT. We do not store card details.
• EFT orders are processed after funds clear. Use the given reference to avoid delays.
• We may run anti-fraud checks and delay or cancel suspicious transactions.

6. Delivery & Collection

• Options include courier delivery to your address or collection in Pretoria during business hours (after you receive a ready-for-collection notice).
• Delivery times are estimates. Courier delays or events beyond our control may affect timelines.
• Please inspect parcels on receipt and note visible damage with the courier, where possible.

7. Risk, Title & Inspection

• Risk of loss passes to you on delivery or collection. Title passes on full payment.
• Report transit damage or short shipments to us within 48 hours of delivery so we can assist with a courier claim.

8. Returns, Defects & Warranty

Your statutory rights under the CPA remain in place. If a product is defective, unsafe or fails to meet acceptable quality standards, you may—within 6 months of delivery—require a repair, replacement, or refund (at your election), at our cost and risk for the return, subject to assessment and exclusions permitted by law (e.g., misuse, unauthorised modification, fair wear and tear).

• How to log a return: Contact us with your order number, fault description, and photos/video where relevant. We’ll issue return instructions (RMA).
• Testing: Returned items are inspected. If no fault is found or damage is due to misuse/incorrect wiring, we may return the item to you at your cost.
• Non-defective returns: If we accept a discretionary, unopened return within a reasonable time, a restocking fee and return shipping may apply.
• Kits & consumables: For safety/traceability, partially assembled kits, cut wire, thermal paste, and similar consumables are not returnable unless defective on arrival.
• Manufacturer warranties: Where applicable, we’ll help facilitate claims under any manufacturer warranty.

Nothing here limits the implied warranty of quality or your remedies available under South African law.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, loss of profits, data, use, or business interruption. Our aggregate liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the product giving rise to the claim. This clause does not limit liability for gross negligence, fraudulent conduct, or where otherwise prohibited by law.

10. Prohibited Conduct

• Fraud, abuse, scraping, security testing without consent, or any unlawful activity.
• Interference with site operation or attempts to bypass access or payment controls.

11. Intellectual Property

All content on the site, including text, graphics, logos, product data, photos and code, is owned by or licensed to Leobot and protected by applicable IP laws. You may not copy, reproduce or exploit content without our prior written permission.

12. Reviews & User Content

By submitting reviews or content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce and display that content on the site and in marketing, subject to our moderation guidelines. Do not submit unlawful, infringing, or misleading content.

13. Privacy & Data Protection

We process personal information in line with our Privacy Policy and POPIA principles. We use secure payment gateways for card transactions and do not store card details on our servers.

14. Third-Party Services

We may rely on third-party providers (e.g., payment gateways, couriers). Their services are subject to their own terms and policies.

15. Force Majeure

We are not responsible for delay or failure to perform due to events beyond our reasonable control, including courier delays, load shedding, network outages, labour disputes, acts of God, or changes in law.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated “Last updated” date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.

17. Governing Law & Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. If a dispute arises, please contact us first so we can try resolve it informally. Subject to applicable consumer protections, you agree to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the South African courts.
