The ENC28J60 is a popular Ethernet LAN Network Port Module. It is a standalone device that allows a microcontroller to connect to an Ethernet network. It provides a simple interface between the microcontroller and the Ethernet, allowing the microcontroller to communicate over the network using standard TCP/IP protocols. The module provides a 10BASE-T Ethernet interface, and supports hardware-based checksum calculations and automatic padding of short packets, which helps to minimize processing overhead for the microcontroller.
ENC28J60 Ethernet Module utilizes the new Microchip ENC28J60 Stand-Alone Ethernet Controller IC featuring a host of features to handle most of the network protocol requirements. This Ethernet LAN module connects directly to most microcontrollers.
Add networking capabilities to your project with this LAN/Ethernet module for Arduino. This module is based on the ENC28J60 chip and is quick to get up and running.
